Peter Rogers is a lecturer in the Sociology of Law and Criminology in the Department of Sociology and has been director of the Bachelor of Social Sciences since 2008.
PhD at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne (UK) in urban regeneration and the social exclusion of young people, fostering a keen interest in the sociology of space and the operations of democratic governance.
Further work as a Research Associate at Manchester University on the New Security Challenges programme focussing on the 'Everyday Resilience of the City' culminating in a recent book with Jon Coaffee and David Murakami-Wood from Palgrave Macmillan (2008).
Before moving to Australia in 2008 Peter was a lecturer in Cultural Studies, Criminology and Sociology at Manchester Metropolitan University.
